Dear WINners,

After a lot of thought and consideration…it is with a heavy heart and a tired mind that I announce the dissolve of Women in Networking NW. I invite you this one last time to our final networking event, December 13th. Please join me as we celebrate 9 ½ years of networking with one another; we include, we inspire and we influence and along the way, we build meaningful, lasting relationships.

In the beginning, June of 2008-our mission was to empower professional women to be leaders…WE have accomplished that…recently one of our own, Anne McEnerny-Ogle was elected as the first woman to be appointed as Mayor of Vancouver.

I have invited our Mayor Elect as a special guest this month-so that we can publically congratulate her.

I thank you for your support and encouragement through the years! I also thank our many community partners that have supported us through the years; a special appreciation to our supporters that “believed I could”: Kate Singh, owner of Aevum Images Photography and Craig Brown, owner of High Fidelity Entertainment for their long-term dedication and attendance at each event. Ty & Trish Dye, owners of Unlock Limits, my Vancouver Business Journal “family” and the team at Vaya Creative for their part in designing the original WIN logo!

I am also grateful to a few local businesses that stepped up in the time of need repeatly: Bleu Door Bakery, Cellar 55, Jo Foody and Simply Thyme Catering.

Wishing you health, happiness & success in the years to come!

Hope to see you at the December 13th finale!
